travelnut...are you thinking google earth?
|
The google function is not exactly the same as the pagesjaunes function. I don't think you can just get a photo of an address.
This is how I have used (and enjoyed) google... In the main maps.google.com pages, enter a type of business "near" and an address. For example: restaurant near 33 Rue de Lille, 75007 Paris, France It will bring up a list of restaurants near the address. The first on is Hotel Pont Royal. Click on "more info" and you will get reviews, photos, etc. I used this to find restaurants, bakeries, groceries, etc. near my apartment (with a chance to read reviews, etc. beforehand). My main problem with pj is my lack of knowledge of the French language, so it has been hard to navigate. |
No, I'm following up on a post about two up (Author: lauraallais).. I've been using the Google maps a lot, and never saw a link to a photo for an address.

Travelnut, see post right above yours. We were writing at the same time.

I've thought for a long time that any sort of software - websites included - starts going downhill after release 3.0.
I don't have any trouble with pagesjaunes in Firefox, though, and I do like the feature of navigating on the map and having the photos change accordingly. |
www.pagesjaunes.fr is still blank for me, but when I tried the URL that cocofromdijon gave -- success! photos!
and I'm still using IE on a PC. Thanks. |
