Out of the blue
Anyone who read my Sicily report knows that I had a frustrating experience getting a car when I landed at CDG on April 30th. I then also posted a query, asking for a French Consumer Protection agency, because of a billing problem in Périgueux which was eventually satisfactorily resolved. Today I received an e-mail from Kemwel reimbursing me the equivalent of two day's rental for my troubles. The note is so general that I do not know if it was because of my CDG experience or my billing problem. But it does show that Kemwel does care about its customers.

It covers at least the wine with taxes & tip.

And this year I noticed that Europcar charged me $132 for the post-rental costs (train station pickup, road tax and ...). I called Kemwel and within 5 minutes they established that Europcar made a mistake by charging me an extra day's rental which Kemwel will refund me. It still costs $100+ for the legitimate charges.
