Good question Linda!
Especially in Europe, I keep a small spray bottle of spray for eliminating odors (Refresh is the brand I currently have). It is esential to get rid of cigarette smoke smells!
Mary

Hydrogen peroxide (small bottle) and antibiotic ointment. My sister thought I was silly until she needed my first aid kit. Rita

I'm drifting off the subject here but...

Surprisingly, nearly 4 years ago I had my Swiss Army knife confiscated (yes, it was in my CHECKED luggage!)

Since then I don’t pack a knife at all. Instead I buy one when I arrive at my destination. It is not uncommon to find a reasonably priced pen knife, sometimes with the logo of the city or country where I am. They are rarely very expensive (or of very high quality) but they work well enough for slicing cheeses or meats for making sandwiches and the regular small jobs.

When I travel I also keep a very small box in my room ready for mailing. On my final day or the day before I drop in the knife along with other knick-knacks, mark the customs label “souvenirs” and mail it to myself at home.
Well.......If you take a vibrator, make sure you remove the batteries. If they get shaken around they tend to "turn themselves on" which is very embarrassing. Trust me, it happened to me with my carry on when it came through the security screening.

Linda

OMG Linda. Did that really happen? I think I would have died from embarrassment. I will follow your advice.

ann
