I await your posts, Underhill. We leave for Paris in 20 days! We'll be there for 6 days followed by two weeks in Provence and the Luberon. I have held your recommendation for the Petit Marguery close to my heart..those mushrooms sound like heaven on Earth.I am working hard not to book every dining place but allow ourselves to "discover" especially in Provence. However, I will tell you we have already reserved at La Chassagnette and Le Fournil(in Bonnieux)..I think you are also a great fan of Bistro D'Eygalieres which I think we'll also manage to try. We are, as well, booked for 2 nights at Mas de Cure Bourse with dinner there the first evening. Much of this I've gleaned from your posts and those of Cigalechante..thank you and Bon Voyage!

The mushrooms at Au Petit Marguery were as divine as ever--and so was the "pièce de boeuf," covered with a cepes-and-wine sauce with a side of pommes dauphinois. What a meal!

Our other find, thanks to the folks at the BP site, was the 31 Euro dinner at the Bistro de Breteuil, in the 7th. For that price you get a Kir Royale, 3 marvelous courses, and a bottle of wine for 2.

I've posted a review of the Madison elsewhere under "Report on the Hôtel le Madison." It was excellent in every way.
More to come when my brain is functioning properly again.
