I've found amazon.com to be a good source of the donna leon mystery novels, new and used. Don't know why they aren't more readily available in the US.

Hemingway's Across the River and into the Trees--a book that I found easy to read in college, but one that I did not really appreciate. I reread it recently, and now, in my mid-50s with much more life experience (and fewer years ahead of me than at my first reading), I understand much better.

Not a humorous book--poignant, moving, sad. Somewhat like Venice itself in many ways.
