Dear hax, I too offer my prayers that your dear Mother will recover and be with you for many more years.

How awesome of your Mother and Father to encourage your family to take your trip. You obviously have a very loving and close knit family that knows how to put their priorities in their proper places. May I add that your parents and you and your husband are wonderful role models for your daughters. We need more of that in this world of ours.

You will have that beautiful trip you planned. My best wishes and prayers to all of you.

Prayers for your mother. You will be blessed with a wonderful trip another time!

What a shame. I'm holding good thoughts for your Mom & I know your trip, when it happens will be fabulous.

Hax, I am so sorry!
Hope your Mom will recover very. You made the best decision, and you are right: Paris will be there, waiting for you, at another date.

You know, you can say that you was lucky that this happened before your vacation started, so now you can be near your parents.

For sure you will have many, many other ocasions to travel. What is important now is your mother's health.

Sending good thoughts your way, you made the right decision (but you already knew that!) Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Mom, and I would love to soon hear that your trip is "postponed" instead of "canceled"!

Thanks to all of you for your kind wishes for my Mom's recovery. I don't know why this showed up twice on two forums, but I will reply twice just in case. My mom is doing okay--a little more stable, but she may face dialysis.

Yes, I know I made the right decision--and I am lucky to have HER as my Mom.

Le Mas de Carassins was able to rebook my rooms, so they waived the penalty. The Le Sainte Beuve was kind enough to reduce the cancellation fee from two nights to one (For two rooms). People have been very kind.

I hope to stay with both of them in the future.

Thanks again,
Hax

Yes Hax, people are kind, especially to kind people. (#))

Hi Hax, I hope all goes well.

My Mother lives with us and she is going to be 80 this year. We leave this coming Saturday for our European trip. My sister is going to come to our house this Friday, to spend the whole time with my mom while we are gone.

I'll say a prayer for you and your whole family for this difficult time.

And you had better find a way to get your family to Europe for an adventure together - I'm pulling for you.

Thanks, I hope you have a wonderful trip!
My sister came in for two days to see my Mom, but she has little kids in school so she couldn't stay.
