I thought homeopathic pills have a very small amount of active ingredients, enough to stimulate action through a very low dose.

Even herbs have some active ingredient.

Nukesafe is correct - a homeopathic remedy is so dilute that there is no discernable presence of drug remaining, therefore theoretically not enough active therapeutic to provide any efficacy.

Homeopaths claim it is the 'memory' of the active molecules which causes an effect, (which is obviously bonkers).

(PS before anyone accuses me of being dismissive of alternative therapies, as a scientist I would add that not all alternatives are 'crank' medicine - eg acupuncture and some herbal remedies, which have fairly sound scientific rationale)

I use homeopathic medicines regularly, and have a liscensed homeopath who lives in London and was trained at a very well-respected school there.

In the UK, Homeopaths work in tandem with many medical clinics and some hospitals.

The homeopathic approach is very difficult for some western minds to accept because we are so conditioned to the hard-hitting, chemical, hit-the-symptoms-on-the-head-with-an-ax drugs that we are innundated with.

Also-I have had the direct experience of having a homeopath (the one in London) cure me of a serious migraine that had been going on for days, so that convinced me.

I think Jet-Lag is affective if taken according to directions.
