"No-Jet-Lag" -- have you tried this product?

Saw it in a travel store (Magellen's).

Would love to hear from anyone who has tried it!

thanks!
dina

I used it once, Dina, and had the same amount of jetlag (nominal) as when I didn't use it. Didn't use it again.

I have used it for the last 6 years with great success.
Its an incredible product. The key is to take as directed. Its also helps that its a natural homeopathic product.

Hi

I haven't used it but I would just like to say that there is a lot of focus on jet-lag on the forums. I think we you travel through many timezones you have to expect some jetlag and you can shake this of in other ways? When I came to Bangkok last year I arrived early in the morning so I had to stay awake all day to get into the rytmn. So I stayed on the move all day to keep awake but I have to admit that I also had some strong coffee and some redbull :d But hopefully you will get some feedback on the "No-Jet-Lag" product. I assume it is some sort of "drug". What does it contain?

Regards
Gard

It contains nothing.

That's right; it is a "homeopathic remedy", which means that the "active" ingredient has been serially diluted with water or other diluent so that there is literally none of the original atoms left in the end mixture.

Pure bunk IMHO, but if it makes you feel better, and you don't mind spending your money on nothing, be my guest.

yes, once.
made no difference.

We've used it for several years and found that it did indeed help. Doesn't eliminate it, but greatly reduced it for us.

KayF May 21st, 2008 07:27 AM

My husband and I tried it years ago on a flight from Australia to Rome - about a 30 hour journey. It made such a difference we've used it quite a few times since. Who cares if it's all in our head, it works for us. The only thing we found a little annoying was you have to take it about every 3 hours but we're not good sleepers on planes anyway so are usually awake.

There have been discussions on this forum before about this product. You'll find more info if you do a search.

funny --
it worked
it didn't work
it's a placebo

well, thanks anyways for the answers!!

i think I'll just stick to trying to stay up, staying active, drinking water, and taking ambien if i wake up at 3 in the morning...

Look at the reviews online Dina. The reviews I have seen are positive. As I said earlier no jet lag has worked every time for the last 6 years. It won't hurt to try it. It won't work if you don't take it as directed.

You can read some of the reviews here:

Well, this site is trying to sell you something, aren't they? What sort of review would you expect to dominate on their platform?

I believed the one that apparently slipped through their quality control. It said:

"This product did not work for me whatsoever...I took it on two long trips (US-Europe), and felt just as jetlagged as I usually do. It's quite expensive, and not worth the money.

dina4 -

Have you read this recent article?

Skip the pretzels: starving may fend off jet lag >>>
http://health.yahoo.com/news/reuters..._clock_dc.html

Essentially, it says that going without food for a period of 16 hours will engage your body clock to be able to reset quickly and avoid jet lag.

I tried this product twice and it never did anything for me. I'll stick to my Ambien.

Don't believe reviews on sites trying to sell you something. Remember, these products are not approved or regulated by the FDA. They can be produced in filthy conditions with no proof of the strength of the so-called active ingredients.

Dina, I have to say that I agree with Andrew, I've had good experiences with No-Jet-Lag. I've used it on trips to China, Russia and several flights to and from Europe and it really has helped me.

Every body is different, of course, in how we each react to things. So, people will have different experiences. And I wouldn't say that I felt completely fabulous after a long trip, even using NJL. But I've flown without it, and with it, and in my experience, I feel much better after a long flight since I've been using NJL, than I used to feel after flying.

Mind you, I'm utterly unable to sleep on a plane. If you could actually get some decent sleep enroute, that might be better than anything.

One woman's opinion!

jd_dallas May 27th, 2008 04:58 PM

Both my wife and I have had several good experiences with No Jet Lag and recommend it. As noted above, getting sleep on the flight is a huge advantage and, for some reason, I have finally learned how to sleep in coach. I doubt that the NJL helps with that, but the combination has allowed us to adjust quickly upon arrival and have no ill effects from jet lag after the first night.

Sounds like the I's have it. We'll give it a shot. I too am not usually into pill popping, but want to enjoy as much of the trip as possible, and since it's mostly natural. Thanks all for sharing. I'll let ya know:)

logos999 Jul 10th, 2008 08:08 PM

It won't help, today I tought I got over with it. It's a week now, but still I woke up at 4am.

The only real solution is to go back to work the next day!

andrew8 Jul 10th, 2008 09:07 PM

Once again it did the job for my trip out west last week. This product is a homeopathic remedy which means its safe.

nukesafe Jul 10th, 2008 10:22 PM

I'm glad you feel it worked for you, but the term "homeopathic" really means it has NO active ingredients in it. It can't possibly "work", any better than a placebo. Purely psychosomatic, if it gives any relief.
