perhaps there is an alternative to the "jogging suit?" Look on web site such as land's end or LL Bean for thir coordinated knitwear-pants and button down cardigans/jumpers. Worn with a contrating colored t shirt underneath would provide comfort and a bit of pulled together dressiness missing from a jogging suit. The cotton would work better than any type of nylon would. Just a constructive thought for today.

seaurchin, first, let me wish you a happy trip. I have never seen anyone in a jogging suit, running or for casual wear, but maybe some do. My friends run every morning in Provence but I have seen them only in shorts. Whatever you decide, YOU are the one to feel comfortable in your choice. But I hope you decide to leave it at home unless it's only for the flight.

Anyway, I am back from my trip already and did wear it, actually it is just matching stretchy cotton knit blend jacket and pants in black, not a nylon jogging suit, I described it wrong I guess, I still don't know what to call it.

I did take two and I am glad because I slept in one on the chilly nights and then would leave it on to have breakfast outdoors.

The other one with the white stripe on the leg I wore to trek around on trails and down to beaches, etc. so it worked out fine too.

Chardonnay, in the pic it is a black sweater and black pants because we were going to a restaurant. Thanks, though....

I never saw anyone actually jogging with a Jogging suit..
However, I saw many wearing them everywhere..

Jogging suits are acceptable, if they are not too flashy or skin thights ..
Especially if you live in an area where people spend much time outsite and the style of dressing is more relaxed and casual .

well, a Nike or Adiddas or what ever jogging suit could not even begin to rival the spectacular display we saw while eating an evening snack at Vaux le Vicomte prior to the candle-lit tour of the chateaux.
Seated at an adjacent table was a French girl, perhaps 25, slender, and wearing a very tight outfit.
Given the whole set up, shall we say that no jogging suit could match it.
If this young lady, or any reasonable facsimile, were around, the Nike jogging suit encapsulee would not get a first look, much less a second one.

Bob Brown, does that mean she looked good or bad? I may be a little dense today....

Yes, but I bet the jogging suit was more comfortable to wear..:)
