kavey Jan 26th, 2002 03:32 AM

bbbb

As I suggest in the quote above. perhaps because YOU post under many names, you assume others do.

Personally, I have only ever posted under Kavey, Kavey is just a shortening of my real name, it's not an alias, or a false name.

I can't speak for Carol, Rex or anyone else. But perhaps you shouldnt assume that everyone else stoops to your level, or posts under assumed names, different names.

As far as I am concerned, if I can't stand by what I post using my own name, I shouldnt be posting it, and therefore I don't.

It shouldn't matter what a persons name is-these posts should always be nice.It is a forum for people to exchange ideas and information, it should be pleasant and not so rude. The rudeness is coming from those who have absolutely nothing to say .The best way to deal with it so far has been to ignore them and just stick to the topic,or skip that post and answer one that you have something to contribute to.
Most everybody on here that has been here for a while,is NICE.Some are nicer than others..but these days-just being polite and trying to help is appreciated!

For Sheila and Tony: Thanks to Sheila for going the extra mile to help my mom and I find alternative plans when we discovered that we didn't want to drive in Scotland as we had planned. And thanks to Tony for his comments on the locations of various B&B's in Edinburgh. In addition to this they both provided very good information and helped in our vacation plans.

Ben Haines is always constructive, informative, courteous in his postings.
(Is he the webmaster?)

MaryC Jul 20th, 2002 10:47 PM

No, but he should be! Frankly, I don't know where he finds the time!!

Ben Haines Jul 21st, 2002 04:37 AM

For Mary C: I am retired, and my duties as churchwarden are light. Also, I sleep less than I did at twenty, and am often wide awake at two in the morning.

I wish to thank Ben Haines as well. A year and a half ago, he offered very nice advice about the Ram's Brewery in London.

So many great, helpful posters. (I ignore rude posters online as well in life.) I guess Capo got my attention first with his common sense and wine knowledge. I have yet to post for information, yet I hope some of my answers do someone good. Good post idea Grumble.
