Nice, here we come!
We're off on Tuesday via Dallas and Heathrow. Please think good thoughts about our luggage! The weather forecast looks pretty good; we're hoping to take our usual good weather with us.
The trip should be comfortable, as we were able to get business-class tickets with FF miles on a 777. We haven't flown one of those in years, but I remember the map at the front of the cabin and how we enjoyed watching the movement of the little plane. Now if I could just bring back that olive oil from Alziari...! |
bon Voyage, Jean,
wishing: you good weather, no problems with luggage and lots of fun!! you should be able to put the tin of Alziari in checked luggage? |
Have a wonderful time in one of my favorite cities!
|
Have a wonderful vacation and come back with some new recs.
|
I LOVED Nice...have a great time.
|
Bon voyage !
And as always, drop by if you are in the neighborhood... -Kevin |
I am living in Nice and I hope you do bring some good weather with you ! The last week we have had a lot of rain, hailed and rained all day yesterday and there is rain forecast for most of the week. There was even snow in Antibes last week !
|
Have a nice trip!
> The weather forecast looks pretty good. Don't mean to be negative but as above poster living in Nice says, a online forecast I'm looking at is not that optimistic, rather more of clound and rain. Bring some precaution (i'm sure you will) and hope for the best. I was in Nice this weekend. Saturday morning very sunny then got cloudier, rainny for the rest of the day. Sunday am, again sun and blue sky though brief, then it rained a lot on and off all day. (I enjoyed Marc Chagall Museum while it eas pouring rain out side). I'm sure you will have better weather than that at least. |
Have good flights, Jean. I will be leaving the day after you and think we are both returning home the same day.
Again, we will be misssing one another on our travels...one of these days..... a bientot... Joan |
We usually--knock on wood--bring good weather with us. With luck that will mean rain at home, which we badly need.
|
send me a card with a beautiful stamp! Have a wonderful time.
We'll miss you. |
Bon voyage to Jean and Joan!

Bon voyage to you Joan. I know you will have some delightful dining to tell me.
|
I just printed our BA boarding passes; so we should be all set. I hope.
|
We were in Nice in September and I can't stop thinking of ways to get back there! Just last night I wrapped the xmas perfume I bought my daughter in Grasse. Wishing you sunny skies.
Micheline |
Skies were sunny for us except for 2-1/2 days of pouring rain, all, fortunately, after we moved from Nice to our B&B in the hills east of Grasse. More on that later.
|
Welcome home, Jean. Can't wait for a long trip report!
|
A long report you will get soon! I've just about finished covering the first 3 days and hope to post tomorrow.
|
Hurry, please!
|
See "Was It Nice in Nice in December 2008?" and "There and Back Again," which covers our last day in Nice and first in Grasse.
