Thanks for advising us, and condolences to Maribel. She added so much to this site -- not only great info but also conveyed that sense of excitement about new places that makes us all love to travel. We miss her and hope she's back soon.

There's word that Maribel will be back on the travel talk Forum, at least for a little while, before she leaves for Spain to do more research. Hopefully it won't be too long.

I am so sad to hear this news. Thank you Maria for keeping us in the loop.

Maribel your loss is heavy on my heart.

Maria, thank you for your post. I, too have been wondering why Maribel has not posted. I wanted to thank her for all of her help in planning our trip to Barcelona, and for her indispensible files. We carried them with us everywhere. My deepest condolences to both of you on the loss of your mothers.

Very sorry for your loss, Maribel.

We left for Spain just before this thread was started and just returned yesterday evening.

I'm so sorry to hear about your (Maribel's) loss.

Someone who shares her knowledge as freely and effectively as Maribel must have been well brought up.

I've been out of the forum for a bit myself (traveling for business most of the summer) and also wondered about Maribel. I had the honor of meeting her in Ubeda during my first Semana Santa trip in 2002.

Maria- thank you for checking up for us. I hope Maribel is doing well and can't imagine what it would be like to loose a parent. Hopefully, we'll see Maribel back in the forum at least part-time soon.

probably one of the best things we could DO for Maribel right now is to encourage her to accept any losses and return here....four months is a long time.

Robert2533 Aug 31st, 2004 02:57 PM

I'm sure Maribel will be back when she feels up to it. Four months may seem like a long time to some, but for others it was only yesterday.

Maria, thank you very much for letting us know of Maribel's sad loss.

If you get in touch with her again before she returns to the forum, please extend my deepest condolences to her. She is such an extraordinary person!
My simpathies to you as well, Maria

I haven't participated in the forum since May and I had no idea. I have moved and also have been promoted to our hotel in Jerez, the Tierras de Jerez. Between those changes and a trip to the U.S. to visit my inlaws, I have hardly had time for a breather.
I hope to be able to come in every once in a while and check on you great folks and learn about my country.
Regards to CathyM too, it was great meeting you last Holy Week ! On your next visit you have to come see me in Jerez so I can show you the wonderful tapas and shopping around here!

Olga
