I like the tunnel idea. But why bother with cars, fuel and pollution. Why not an electric train charged by electric eels? Better yet, how about building one of those people mover conveyer belts (with seats, of course) that are used in the airports?

Those people mover conveyor belts would be a great idea, Leslie. But could you imagine having to say "Excuse me, could you please move to the right?" all the way across the Atlantic. :~)
