Name Three Things (Only Three)
Lets have some fun: Name three things, not more, that you mUST have to travel. My three are 1) toilet paper, 2) an umbrella, and 3) an open mind.
|
Wouldn't dream of taking your first 2 items! But mine would have to be
1)good walking shoes 2)sunhat 3)lots of money or lira or francs etc. etc.

assuming we have money etc. My three are map...dictionary...and my husband

|
OK, I'll admit, I'm ignorant (at least in this case), but what is Olbas Oil?
|
Forgot to answer the question: I always feel I'm ready to go anywhere if I have my passport and my ATM/credit card, and a sense of wanting to experience (people, cultures, places, food, you-name-it). The rest of the stuff I can buy anywhere.
|
Olbas Oil is my lifesaver.

It's basically a decongestant oil which is sold in a tiny glass bottle in UK pharmacists such as Boots (not over the counter, just normal sales).

It contains menthol oil, eucalyotus oil, peppermint oil etc and clears my nose. I have serious hayfever from March though October so it's a great great thing.

Also good for steam baths (like Vicks) when bunged up more.

These days you can even buy vile tasting but very effective Olbas Oil throat pastilles for when you have a sort throat. I cant keep them in my mouth for long as they taste vile so I suck half a pastilles worth and then spit it out!

(You did ask).

|
1. Comfortable shoes - but man my feet will end up killing me regardless

2. A camera - I don't subscribe to the postcards are just as good theory, but I usually buy them anyway as souvenirs

3. A sense of adventure (barely beat out a sense of humor)
|
1) my computer so I don't miss Fodors
2) AAA card, as they will post a bond in case you get arrested
3) an all purpose credit card (can use it to buy anything else I need)
|
1. elvira
2. Capo
3. comfortable shoes:)

1) My Ecco boots
2) A good camera
3) Plenty of energy bars to keep me going
|
Earplugs, earplugs, earplugs

To all of you out there with an "open" mind, is it an empty mind.
|
A travel journal to record all those great moments etc.
A great camera
My family!
|
Besides most of the previously mentioned, Immodium and Febreze. (And I'm going to look for olbas oil.)
|
More than one pair of shoes,
a corkscrew,
toilet paper.
|
1 - Backpack - so my husband can carry it too!
2 - Streetwise Maps
3 - Comfortable Black Shoes (so I blend in with the Europeans!)
|
1) hand sanitizer 2) toilet paper 3) room spray
|
1. Husband
2. Camara
3. Travel guide

(not in that particular order .. hehe)
|
I have a bad back, so 1 a collapsible cane 2 support or compression knee highs, and 3 a european outlet heating coil. I know I'm taking money and credit cards or I can't go. Passport and tickets are already a must or I'm not allowed to leave, and manners and a sense of humor seem a given, or I could just stay home and be a bitch. Everything else may be different or cost more, but is pretty easy to find. My 3 choices are things I can't do without, and they're not easy to find overseas.
|
Sandi:

Here are my three:

1) Enough Luggage!

2) No Worries!

3) My Bible

(I always bring it, have done so since my first trip at age 5.)

Happy Travels

Oaktown
|
Obviously:

Me, myself, and I.
