Your pictures are glorious!
They made me want to call the airlines and GO! Thanks for sharing |
Wow! Those are some great shots. I really like how well you handle the evening ones with lights. Many people don't do that well at all.
Thanks for sharing. |
My compliments, Isabel. You have a great eye!
|
Thanks, Isabel, for sharing your terrific photos. I really enjoyed them all!
|
Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing them with us.

I meant to ask the same question..how do you get such wanderful night shots. What do you use?
WOW! |
WOW!! I love to check fodorites pics of their travels and have to say Isabel, yours are out of league!!:-D WOW!
Gorgeous photography, interesting shots, incredible. A tabletop book comes to mind!! |
Awesome! Thank you.
|
Spectacular! I felt like I was there . . .thank you for sharing these.

I am awestruck !
You are really good. I thought I had some decent shots of many of the same places but you and Jim Tardio put me to shame. Tell us more ! Are you a pro? Do you use a tripod? Are you shooting all digital? Some of these shots have to be enhanced with an edit program--which one? I am green with envy--terrific composition and use of light. And, you put yourself in the right place at the right time. Do not be modest--TELL US MORE ! |
Please tell me you're a professional photographer! Your pictures are the best I've ever seen . . . I want to throw all mine out and put yours in my albums.
I am going to study yours and see if I can duplicate some of your shots when I go to Brugge and Brussels in March. Thanks for sharing and please do let us know how you took those night shots. Thanks a million, Sandy (in Denton) |
One word: Stunning!
|
Beautiful!!!!! What camera did you use? My European trip starts in May and I need good info on cameras and taking pics.
|
Isabel, if you are not a professional photographer, you should be. Those are just stunning photos, every one of them. I am looking at New England now and will probably look at all of your albums. |
SUPERB!!!EVERY SINGLE ONE!
|
For those who like these shots, be sure to go to jimtardio.com for a similar experience. I hate them both !
|
Splendid stuff, Isabel.
It convinces me further that Fodors should provide some bandwidth for posters' photos - I know there are many contributors to the boards who have excellent photo libraries. Danny, are you lurking? |
fabulous! Thank you.

Gee thanks for all the nice comments. To answer some of your questions. No I'm not a professional photographer - I just love doing it. Fortunatley being obsessed with both travel and photography is a combination which goes well together.
Most of these photos were taken with a digital camera. Only the ones of Provence and the Loire and a few in England were taken in my pre-digital days, with my trusty Nikon SLR which has not been out of the closet since I went digital. All of Italy were taken with an Olympus C2100UZ (fondly referred to as the "uzi"). All the ones of Ireland were taken with a Nikon CP5700. England and France I've been to multiple times so some shots were taken with each camera. The olympus, which is the older one (a 2 megapixel camera) is actually better with the night shots. It has an image stabelizer which the Nikon (a 5 megapixel) doesn't have. I carry a tiny 5 inch tripod which obviously has to be balanced on something so it can limit what you can do. But I just can't stand the weight of a real tripod. In fact, that's what I love about the digital cameras, they are so light weight compared to a film camera. Neither of these is exactly pocket sized but still much smaller and lighter than a full size SLR film camera. Again, thanks for the comments. |
