Trust me on this one. You do not want to wrestle in the mud with Frank. You'll end up asking yourself why you bothered.

If you ignore the egregious FrankS there is some hope he will go back to the Lounge where he belongs.

FrankS Mar 31st, 2016 06:55 AM

Where I belong thursdaysd?

Ive been to the US Embassy in Paris more times than anyone here, lived in Brussels once for a year, and stayed months at a time on another occasions. I believe that makes me more qualified on this thread than someone from a State where high class means you have good NASCAR tickets, where Tobacco is a vegetable, pulled pork a delicacy, and Paris is a place that you know from a brochure and a total of 10 days visiting tourist spots

Did you work in the embassy commissary where I was offered a job?

bilboburgler Mar 31st, 2016 08:13 AM

vincenzo, you have never lead me wrong before :-)

None of those "qualifications" mean your views aren't extreme, FrankS.

Another facet of Trump's candidacy is that he has absolutely nothing to lose. He can't be shamed any more than he has shamed himself, but he is shameless. What if he loses very, very badly, either at the convention (unlikely) or in the general (likely)? He has no political career to consider, no reputation to protect, no shareholders to answer to.

For him, any publicity is good publicity. And he is responsible, or answerable, to absolutely no one.

bil: That's not something I hear every day.

Work was in Brussels, lots of lunches some meetings in Paris

Are you an American Kerouac?

Whathello Mar 31st, 2016 12:38 PM

When I read someone is more qualified than another I start to feel ill at ease.
So you know Bruxelles and Paris because you were in the U.S. Embassy and had lunches in Paris ?
God protects us.

<i>Are you an American Kerouac?</i>

What an odd question, FrankS! Do you categorize people by their nationality?

Surely if you believe that you are an expert on the American Embassy in Paris, you know if they hire only American citizens or if they also hire residents of Paris. You probably also know about their salary system according to nationality, if indeed they do hire foreigners.

Or maybe eating lunch there did not teach you everything.

<Or maybe eating lunch there did not teach you everything.>
Snort!

FrankS Mar 31st, 2016 01:25 PM

Yea, but it was many many many lunches...all at no cost to me. That's probably why I showed up every day. Best Embassy food in the world too, if you want my opinion

imo- you learn more in an Embassy Café than in an internet chatroom full of imposters pimping their travel products
