Sigh~ will we now all be tested to be sure our trip reports are true?
I have been reading this with much interest as my son has been to Prague and he thought it would be fun to meet us there this coming Spring.
His mama is voting for Paris or London (sorry Prague) but who knows~ :)

Hi MK2,
The reason I asked about the slippers was because I was so surprised that you being the queen and goddess of fashion didn't mention them in your post.Having been around the castle and seen enough to criticise, you would have been asked to wear some really ghastly slippers; oversized and dirty and kept in a dirty wicker basket at the entrance to some of the rooms these to be worn whilst walking through some of the rooms.
This I suspect is either an effort to keep the floor polished or simply to protect the floor from shoes.
As you didn't mention it I can only assume that the practice has stopped during the 6 months since I was there last.

Oh Scarlett, you know we all (MK2 included ) like to play games..lol

;-)

Well my dear, I went to a castle where you had a long walk from the minibus through a wood, then the return journey was down a long road packed with tourist shops - no slippers in the joint, but then there were only wooden floors, and some closed off rooms had rugs, nothing spectacular though.
