I just discovered a great site, called Tube Guru. You just click on a tube stop, and it gives you nearby shopping, restaurants, ATM locations, etc... Here's the link:

I find this site useful. You put in a post code (similar to a zip code) and it lists nearby shops restauarants etc as well as useful things like Post Offices and Banks.
