Last Dec i had to transit from Heathrow to Waterloo and decided to hop the local bus from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 unified bus stop and take it to nearby Feltham train station, where i got a direct train (several an hour avaialble) to Waterloo. Not quicker because the bus goes all around the airport en route to Feltham, which is only about a mile from terminal 4 where i landed, but a seemless easy route with luggage - no hassling with c rowded tubes or tube changing and probably cheaper. Took me about one hour. An easy way i'd go again but one never listed amongst the various ways to Waterloo.

Never listed? Search feltham waterloo and stand back.
|
Never listed in the oodles and oodles of posts i've read on Fodors except when i mention it - that's what i meant - never mentioned as a possibility when folks ask about getting to Eurostar from Heathrow. At least in my reading.

I put Fletham and Waterloo in the Fodor's search box and i stood back and got six mentions in past two years - i think three of them were my postings, one or two were yours. Was not floored by the expected flood?

I guess you use the word "never" in a different way than I do. Or 99% of the English-speaking world.
Never mind. |

Paddington tube station isn't accessibility-friendly: getting to and from the Hammersmith & City, and to and from the anticlockwise Circle line, is a nightmare for anyone with luggage or even a slight limp. But the Bakerloo and the clockwise Circle line are both blissfully accessible. Except, of course, when an escalator doesn't work. |
