That is great news wrenwood...the view is stunning...and the outside of the building looks great too...

Be sure to email them for a price quote, we were there the end of June (before the Olympics) and did not have to pay the price on the website.
|
wrenwood...Do you know if they take bookings for less than 7 nights? I have emailed them to find out. We only need 5 nights in London so I am hoping to find one.
|
Yes, we stayed 5 nights, but it may depend on time of year

bendigo - which apartment did you stay in in Clerkenwell?
|
The above Artillery Row apt. is a listing from London Connection, a company run by ex-British family now living in US (Utah). I have used it twice and highly recommend it.

iowamom,
We stayed in this apartment first week of December last- fabulous! My review is on the webpage: http://www.thelondonagent.com/Super-...ll-Home-2.html |
And some comments re the apartment I have previously posted on here:
London Agent was terrific to deal with - no problems at all, and our Heathrow Airport pick-up was waiting when we arrived! The apartment has lift access from ground floor - something that we appreciated more and more as our stair-climbing with suitcases continued across Europe! Fifth bed is a blow up mattress, but was reportedly very comfortable. The apartment was actually larger than we expected - only thing that was missing was a micro-wave. Also not really a dining area sufficient for the five of us. Access to the rest of London was great - easy walk to St Pauls area, London Museum, Guildhall, etc, and interesting to explore the immediate local area (Pubs, Meat Market, Clerkenwell Green, Order of St John of Jerusalem buildings, etc - I am a dedicated researcher and love to find out about an area before going there!) It's on the railway line, but we did not have any issues with noise - double glazed windows , door to small balcony. Less than two minutes walk to the Farringdon railway station which is on the Circle Line (and has lift / elevator access to platforms (an important consideration with kids and luggage) - allows easy access to almost anywhere in London - the connectivity is terrific through the Tube interchanges, and it is only a couple of stops from the Tower of London, and one stop from Kings Cross / St Pancras if you are connecting to / from Eurostar to Paris / Brussels. There was a good takeaway pizza place on Farringdon Road approximately opposite the railway station. Also a small Tesco that was good for our supplies, including Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc - one of the world's great sauv blancs from New Zealand - for 6.99GBP (much cheaper than I can buy it in Oz!), and we had a great pub Roast Dinner at the Sir John Oldcastle (?)on Farringdon Road on our last night. Also a few good places nearby for a full English breakfast to charge your batteries first thing in the morning! |
