Lisbon Portugal

We want to visit Lisbon for the first time---any interesting day trips? Anyone stayed at Sheraton Lisbon Hotel? Good location?

Check out insidelisbon.com. Small van tours (8 people). We went to Sintra, Boca de Roca, and Cascais...8 hrs. About $100 pp. wonderful day

You don't need a tour, especially not at $100/pp. Public transport is excellent.

Possible day trips: Sintra/Cascais/Estoril, Obidos, Evora.

But there is a great deal to see in Lisbon itself, including in Belem. Click on my name for my Lisbon TR.

As noted, most places in Lisbon can be seen by public transportation, bus or commuter train, or by taxi (inexpensive, even to Sintra).

There are some advantges to taking a tour, which you might enjoy. Check out: Lisboa Sightseeing (Portugal tours. Lisbon tours. Porto tours. Lisbon Tour Operator.), Lisbon Tour Guides (Private sightseeing tours for groups or individuals - Lisbon Tour Guides), Your Friend in Lisbon (https://www.yourfriendinlisbon.com) or ML Private Tours (Home).

You can also download Maribel's Guide to Lisbon, which may be all you need: www.maribelsguides.com/mg_lisbon.pdf
