In the ultimate bit of irony, I wanted to post to thank you all for your responses. I hope this affirmation helps you through the weekend; it sure is giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

My opionion to this question is and I am new to this forum, but this is what I think happens... The poster does not know if the person that responded to his questions is going to go back and check to see if the poster thanked or acknowledged the reply. Or if he should personally e mail them. Many times the person replying doesn't give their real e mail adddress, why I don't know!! sO i DON'T think we should be hurt they are probably confused as to what to do sometimes, especially if they are new to the site. Just keep on helping.... Only my opinion

With all due respect, Fiona, I find it interesting that you would comment on lack of acknowledgement of responses when I've noticed that you did not bother to respond to several posters who answered your query about what to see in Hong Kong on the Asian board. Particularly after you dissed the users of the Asian board here for being unresponsive, I would think you would owe those folks some thanks for offering you the advice that you had requested.

to XXXXXX <BR>I ALWAYS thank people who have answered my queries. As "My Story" said earlier, I wait till several responses have been made rather than thank everyone individually. The Asia forum is nothing like as busy as this one and your query can stay in the first 50 for 4 to 5 days. I always thank people while it is still up there.
