Frank,<BR><BR>Your idea sounds good, what I would change would be to fly to Chania (the 2nd major city of Crete) with Olympic Airways or with Aegean Airlines (web reservations too). I don't know your plans in Crete but usually people who don't want just resorts tend to prefer the West side where old towns, villages and great scenery exists. From Chania (in the west side of Crete) I would drive to Heraklion and visit Knossos (Minoan Palace) and from there there is a SeaJet going to Santorini or a boat if you prefer. From Santorini numerous boats and SeaJets connect the island with Paros, Naxos and other islands on the way to Athens.<BR>Sounds good, you get to check the experience of the boat trips and save time by flying to Crete. Remember nice boats make big difference in the whole experience. I remember the new ones: Blue Star Naxos, Blue Star Paros, and Blue Star Ithaki. There are also SeaJets, but on these kind o boats you are not allowed on deck while travelling, which I would enjoy (but they go really fast).
