MacDonalds? Quick?

Unfortunately, there are only 4 Quicks left in Paris since Burger King bought the chain. They were going to convert every location to Burger King but then they realized that Quick has a huge fan base, so they decided to retain some locations. In the provinces, Quick is still alive and well.

Besides formal fireworks shows do folks set off fireworks all over Paris that night (and like here day before and after) - are fireworks easily bought - seems like, as Christina says about crowds, could easily cause a panic with a simple loud fireworks - can you legally buy fireworks? Illegally? Here as you know all kinds of fireworks are sold everywhere. And would places like Quick and MacDs be open? Small stores - just like a Sunday - never been in Paris on July 14th and wonder?

Personal fireworks are illegal in France and have been for several years.

As for shops being open on July 14th -- yes all of the big ones like Monoprix will be open, as will the shopping malls.
