italian translation
Could someone translate a sweet postcard that I received from a man I met in Perusia a month ago. I have no idea what it says!
Thanks, Vicki |
PS. I have scanned the postcard and could attach it in an e-mail to you.

Hi keystonev, I don't give out my email address to those I don't know but if you want to put the message on this board I will have my Italian born and bred SIL translate it for you. Best regards.

Having "no idea what it says!", I'm curious about how you know it was "a sweet postcard"...

This site will give you a free translation although some of the idioms may be lost.

Thanks to all of you who replied. I was quite fortunate that a woman e-mailed me and translated it. And we are both thankful that I did not post it.....it was a bit risque to say the least! But did we have a good time reading it!
The best to you all. |
Aw c'mon, K.
What did it say? :) ((I)) |
One more thing Vicki. Be careful posting your full, real name, and hometown and private email address on the public internet - that's the surest way to get spam or other unwanted attention.
Nearly all of us don't show our email, and many of us use a 2nd, non-personal email for public fora like this. My private email with my name is only for person correspondence, while my 2nd one is for things like website registration etc. If I have problems with that account I just shut it down and make up a new name, without having to give all my friends and family a new address. |
Thank you, J62 for the advice and I have followed it!
