Years ago there was talk about Chanel using the oil from the glands of cats. I don't know if it was ever proven but chanel #5 did have a muskier scent in those olden days. (It is stlll my favorite perfume).

I thought they used ambergris (SP) or something like that. It was from whales and of course years ago.

I always buy perfume in Paris just because I want to and try to find someting that isn't here in the states yet. It's just something I have to do.

I do, as crefloors does..I always buy a bottle of perfume in Paris.
Then when I am home , it only takes a whiff of scent to remind me of Paris..
