You know what is really scary about reading these posts? I had a job interview at US Airways less than two weeks go. (As a Customer Serice Agent.)

The lady told me that it is part-time, which is what I wanted. And she also mentioned that they weren't sure what was going to happen with the bankrupt issue as of yet.

And then she called me on Thursday of this week and said she wanted me to come in on Monday, since her manager was wanting to do the hiring soon.

I'll will get more information when I go and let all of you know. THis should be interesting.

Travelnut:
The consumer protection law regarding liquidated airlines has been renewed. This law states that tickets holders must make new arrangements with other US-based airlines flying the EXACT same route (no change of either starting or ending airport allowed) within 60 days of the date of liquidation. They can be charged no more than $25 each way but these are only stand-by, no confirmed seats. FF/Award tickets are NOT covered by this law, only paid tickets.

If it were any other airline, I'd take it. With US Air, I confess that I'd be worried. As said, I'd compare with Aer Lingus, including on the segments to Barcelona. Aer Lingus is getting quite a "budget" reputation.

And uh, guys. GoJumbos only just posted the night before last. It's a holiday, most boards don't get this many replies this quickly, and not everyone hovers over an internet screen. Not that I don't think sometimes an acknowledgement that the thread was at least ever read again would hurt. And GoJumbos did say her dates were mid-may to June 11th.

Clifton, see Chatters reply of 8:09 am this morning regarding GoJumbos's history of replying to her threads. Happy New Year !!! Mike

Ah sorry barbmike. I did miss that one. It never even occurred to me that people investigate or remember the posting habits of others, but as I said, I'd agree that acknowledging people's attempts to help at least shows that you got the message. Could also be that GoJumbos doesn't know that messages scroll off the screen after a short time. (an attempt to give benefit of the doubt).
