Info about Turkey travel
 

My original msg wound up in Europe, the typo correction in Turkey, so I repeat. We returned a week ago from a great 2-week trip to Turkey. Spent 6 days in Istanbul, then went on a 7-day conducted tour to Ankara, Cappadocia, Konya, along the West Coast, returning to Istanbul via Gallipoli. Will be glad to answer specific questions as time permits.

It sounds like a great trip George. Did you make your own hotel reservations in Istanbul? Did you use a local tour company for your conducted tour? Did you fly to Ankara? What would you do differently? Were the bus rides long? Thanks for any answere you can provide. <BR>Tony

I understand that some of the merchants will accept US dollars, how much would you recommend bringing? Did you use ATMs? Did you take a taxi from the airport into Instanbul and what was the cost? How was the weather? Thanks!
