I need to fax a place but...

I think I've figured out how to fax a restaurant in Italy - I put in the 011 code (from Canada), then the country code etc. But I need to get a confirmation back from them ...exactly how do I tell the restaurant (limited English) how to fax me back? Any Canucks out there who can help me???

Add something like: <BR> <BR>Prego trasmettermi la vostra conferma dal fax. <BR> <BR>Then put your fax number in this form: <BR> <BR>00 1 (your area code)(your number)

I thought Canada's code was 1 so why would you have to precede this by two zeros??

I believe that from some telephone systems "00" is to get an international line. More and more, this seems to be written "++" and then the country code - - where "++" means "whatever you need to do in your country to get an international line". <BR> <BR>Best wishes, <BR> <BR>Rex <BR>

00 is international access code in Italy (and in the rest of EU, IIRC), the equivalent of 001 in US or Canada.
