I have been to Europe several times since 1994 when I took my daughter to Greece. Since then I have taken 3 teenage grand daughters. One to Italy, one to Spain, one to London to Greece. I even took my husband to Greece, Spain and Portugal for our 25th anniversary. He is 60 and I am 70. I have two more grandchildren who graduate HS in 2004 and we are already beginning to plan our trip!!!!!!! This forum has been wonderful help with plans.

Re: the "who cares?" comment, to me, an essential aspect of surviving and going on after what has happened is human connection and community.

59 Saturday.
Just came back from the Isle of Wight, where we have a timeshare that lets us stay there offpeak for free. Did 4 walks in 3 days and a fossil hunt. Only about 28 miles in all though. Plan a lot more walking in the future, as we haven't doen any for a while.

Doug

Was able to see things that I still dream about (literally-yes, I know, that is an overused word, but literally still dream about Paris). Can't wait 'til next trip even tho I have NO idea when I will be able to go.
Ah me.

I am 28 1/2 and doing research to plan my month-long backpacking trip for my 30th b-day! Normally I wouldn't be so excited about that 1/2 birthday, but I am looking forward to the big 3-0 because it means ringing it in while travelling through Europe! :)
