Hotels in Cortina
We will be visiting Cortina nex year (first week of July)to hike for a few days. Could anyone recommend a hotel? Moderately priced - nice views/charming?

Good evening, Jane <BR>Stayed at the GRAND HOTEL AMPREZZO almost 30 years ago, but it still remains as one of the best little old <BR>hotels we stayed at. It is a three <BR>star hotel with 78 room, recall the bedroom as just slightly smaller than <BR>the bathroom, They did have a very <BR>good dining room. Hi, We stayed at the St Michele Hotel , very pleasant , great location. All rooms differ so try to choose the one that you personally prefer, ...hotel is in the old palazzo where the famous Accademia Etrusca first met. <BR>Lovely place Cortona. Good luck. <BR> PS Do not miss Les Celles

Hotel San Michele - hands down for staying in town...great location - ask for one of their largest rooms though.

Hello! Guys don't make a confusion between Cortona (near Arezzo in Tuscany), and Cortina d'Ampezzo (near Belluno in North-east Veneto)..!!! <BR>Anyway, go and see: http://www.sunrise.it/cortina/alberg...ona/index.html. Nice hotel with beatifoul view of the Dolomites. ASk for the room's Annexe with very cheap prices.Ciao

Check my other posting to your query. Definitely look at the Hotel Natale - Lovely hotel - pinewood all over - large deck looking up at the mountains. Definite great stay!!!
