Elena
There are rooms at that price, but the problem is availability if by "late June" you mean later this month.
The popular small hotels book up months in advance.
Take a look at hotelboulevard.com
which is both a booking service and it also has comments from some of the past hotel guests.

Here is some hotel info from my Paris file, I have not used these hotels myself. Info comes from Paris websites, message boards, etc.
The hotel mentioned above, the Leveque:
From bonjourparis website, 1999. "The two-star Grand Hotel Leveque (29 Rue Cler, 011-331-47-05-49-15, fax 011-331-45-50-49-36) has a slightly faded feel, and some rooms look into an air shaft. But with 50 to choose from the Leveque is more likely than some to have space when you need it. Try for one of the top-floor rooms with tiny balconies and good views--No. 53 has that, plus room for three. Singles start at $45 (with sink only) and prices top at $92 for a triple. All rooms have phones, TV and hair dryer.
In some rooms on the top floor you can step onto a balcony and catch the tip of the Eiffel Tower.
elaine's note: hotel recommended May 2000 by Rick Steves, who mentioned that the hotel was recently renovated and has a great location. website www.hotel-leveque.com, email [email protected] This hotel has also been recommended on the Fodor's Europe forum and in the book Cheap Sleeps in Paris. Elevator, hairdryers, tv. Some rooms have balconies. Closets but little or no drawer space. Rooms neat and clean but simple.)

Sept 2000: Residence St Christophe
"a small clean hotel in a good area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nearest metro was Rue Monge, walking distance to Notre Dame. Rooms very small, but that's to be expected." (elaine's note: "Cheap Sleeps in Paris" mentioned that the rooms are pleasant, the bathrooms good (tubs OR showers, by the way, apparently not both)and the staff very friendly. It has an elevator, hairdryers in the rooms.
More on it from International Travel News, Jan 01
"Room was postage-stamp size but clean and comfortable. …not suitable for a person who needs much space to hang and store clothes..rate includes continental breakfast."

From this forum
June 2000: "My favorite hotel in Paris is the Hotel-St Jacques at 35, Rue des Ecoles. It's right by the Maubert-Mutualite metro stop in the 5th arrondissement. Phone +33-1-44-07-45-45, fax +33-1-43-25-65-50. I think we paid about $85 per night for a double with private bath, no breakfast. It's a nice, comfy place with good showers, blow dryers, TVs and artsy touches throughout. They speak English. There's a little market by the metro stop and lots of little restaurants and take away
places. I've stayed there 3 times and my only complaints are that there's no a/c (not a problem in Oct!) and the separate room that the toilet is in is tiny. "

hotel recommended by Rick Steves, May 2000:
Hotel le Valadon, 16 rue Valadon, near rue Cler, metro Ecole Militaire. Plain lobby, spacious, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. tel 01 47 53 89 85, fax 01 44 18 90 56.
Fodor's forum April 2001: re Valadon
"We've stayed there several times-a good location- much quieter than Rue Cler and only a block away.It is clean and pleasant- fairly basic."
