HELP WITH LUCERNE HOTEL, PLEASE
 

I need to decide between Hotel des Alpes, Hotel Krone and Hotel de la Paix. We need a nice room, near or on the lake, including bkft. Other suggestions through personal experience welcome.

We've stayed at the Hotel des Alpes and would stay there again. Very nice and a greatlocation.

Ditto Hotel des Alpes. We loved our balcony overlooking the waterfront.

I had lunch at the Alpes hotel's restaurant, probably the same name. It's right there on the river bank, where that famous bridge is. And weather permitting, they have outside tables. The food was good and so was the service.

Ahhh, Lucerne! Lucky are you who go there!

Oh, just re-read your post, you want to be on the lake, Alpes is very close but not ON the lake. Still perfect location.
