Help? Overnight train Paris-Florence

Just found this site! My husband and I want to take the overnight train from Paris to Florence in May. lst time and we need advise. I tried to book a lst class sleeping car (?) on raileurope.com but they said it was too early to book. I read someone say that site was a ripoff anyway. I'm confused and time is marching on. Any advise is most appreciated

You could call them at 1-800-4-eurail. But be aware that you will pay 50% more by buying here in the US.
Thankyou, helper. I certainly don't want to pay 50% more. Since there is only one overnight per night, I presume I should reserve ahead and not wait until I'm in Europe. How does one avoid paying 50% more? It is not inexpensive! Toni

Buy your train travel when you arrive in Paris. Or check out some of the low cost air travel options - - though none actually fly directly Paris-Florence, as far as I know.

Maybe through London (to Pisa) - - but this is contorted. Or Paris-Nice, and then train the rest of the way. Or Brussels-Rome or Milan on www.virgin-express.com

Sleeping on a train would not be for me.

Best wishes,

Rex
You can buy online at www.sncf.com and pick up the tickets in Paris.
