On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table
And onto the floor...

(A gold star to anyone who can finish it!)

I tried to retrieve it
But it rolled out the door.

next verse?

and then my poor meatball rolled
right out the door...
he rolled in the garden and under
a bush..
and then my poor meatball was nothing
but mush!!!

I'm so glad I gave you all something
to comment on! :-)

sneezed Nov 1st, 2001 09:44 AM

It rolled in the garden,
And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,
Was nothing but moosh.

But the moosh was so tasty,
As tasty could be,
And early next summer,
It grew into a tree.

And the tree was all covered
with a beautiful gloss
it grew lovely meatballs
and tomato sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti
All covered with cheese
hold on to your meatball
And don't ever sneeze.....
Oh, Reginald...one of the oldest continuously operated restaurants in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Tujaque's, on Decatur Street, serves a roast-beef course and has for at least fifty years.

Newton's 3 law's of physics:

A meatball at rest will remain at rest unless affected by an external sneeze.

A meatball in motion will remain in motion unless affected by an external bush.

For every action of ordering spaghetti with meatballs there is an equal and opposite reaction, usually from the proprietor.

My Italian born grandmother made spaghetti and meatballs. She was a FANTASTIC cook. She made raviolli from scratch and she & grandpa made their own wine. She made the sauce, meatballs (1/2 pork sausage,1/2 hamburger)and the pasta in 3 seperate pans tho they all ended up eventually happily together on plate and in stomach.
