What are some truly beautiful sights in Europe? Like some cities/staples that are breathtaking. Some sights that give you chills and leave you in awe. Any places? And btw when I ask if something is “better” or similar things like that I want your opinions or the general mass’s opinions. If I could make my OWN decision I would not be on this website lol.

Rome is a capital city
Venice is a water locked town buried in tourists

Both have awe inspiring moments. Sitting on top of the "typewritter" drinking a cocktail as the sun sets and you can look down on the Forum is an experience not to be missed.
Sitting in the Guggenheim looking into the grand canal in the afternoon or wandering the canals at 5 in the morning are both special experiences.

For me, going to Venice in June to September is a bad idea. Going to Rome in August is a bad idea. Both are way nicer than New York

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of places in Europe that I find breathtaking and leave me with chills and in awe. You are asking impossible questions. Just stop trying to peg things down and go to Europe and have a great time.

That was just a tiny, tiny smattering of things I found awesome in my travels in Europe in the past 8 months.

Rather than asking a bunch of strangers, go buy/borrow some glossy guidebooks with lots of pictures and decide for yourself.

If you can't even do that, get a map of Europe and drop a coin on it. Go there.

There are thousands - I've seen hundreds. So far on your two threads about this thrip there are about 120 responses. At some point you just need to bite the bullet and decide where you want to go.

You don't need to know the answer to that in advance. Just go. Take your trip. You will find plenty of breathtaking sights that give you chills and leave you in awe. Pretty much every day and every thing I saw in both Paris and Venice I found awe-inspiring in some way.

If you are truly trying to nail down exactly what you will see before you leave, I agree, that's where a decent guidebook would be an excellent idea.

Looking for sights all over Europe is of absolutely no help to you right now if you are still going on a trip a month from now. It is time to book airfare and get transportation and lodging sorted. Just make a decision. It will be fine.

I figured it out 4 days in Paris, 4 days in Munich. June 8 LAX-CDG, June 18 Munich-LAX. Im so excited!! Im going to go to the Hofbrauhouse (sorry for spelling), Marienplatz, Nueschwanstein Castle, New town hall, Englischer Garten! What else should i visit?

Dachau is an easy half-day trip by suburban train from Munich - another option. Salzburg, Austria is just over an hour by train. Look into the Bavaria Pass which lets you hop regional trains and urban transports for a full day - buy at stations day of travel.

Yes. I have some ideas but I want an area that is safe, has nightlife (like vegas where people are walking around it is alive), nice (affordable) local restaurants/cafes, and sort of close to the main tourist attractions.

Just about anyplace a toursit would find himself will be safe.

Paris is nothing but . . . local restaurants and cafes.

The main tourist attractions are in Arr. 1 through 8 and heavily concentrated in 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7. BUT one can get from just about anyplace in Paris to about anywhere else in Paris easily by public transport.

This is starting to resemble Dobbie the Turtle, for those with longer memories.

If you're asking for suggestions I know that my niece and nephew love to stay in the St Germain/Latin Quarter area, this would be the 5th and 6th arrondissements. Lots of cafes and restaurants and reasonably close to the sites, with quite a few neat and clean moderately priced hotels. Diana and Familia just to name two.

One more suggestion, with less than a month to go you need to get cracking on hotel reservations asap...
