Help is needed again :(

Hello,

We have booked through venere.com and tried to email them regarding our arrival time & check in. The email address for Venere.com seem to be not working. Even, emailed at the hotel's email address. No reply, instead we are getting 'Delivery status notification (failure)'. Very worried :(

[email protected]

Is booking for a hotel through this website worth relying?

Thanks in advance

Personally, I would not go to Venere, the 3rd party, to clarify arrival information. I would want to go to the hotel directly. In my experience it takes time and several email to raise a response from hotels sometimes, so be patient and if no reply in a couple days, re-send the email to the hotel. If your hotel is part of a world wide chain, perhaps try a toll free call to the main reservation center. They should be able to verify your reservation went through. You really do not give much detail in your post so it is a bit difficult to advise

Thank you so much. Whatever you have pointed out in your comments is all I needed to know to keep me assured that something CAN be done. Venere.com being the third party got me worried :/
I'm doing some more research about Venere.com. I should have'd booked through booking.com. *regret*

@hpeabody The same hotel I booked through Venere.com is available in booking.com
Do you think it would be wise and a best idea to cancel and book through booking.com again to keep me at ease

Seamus Mar 27th, 2013 08:01 PM

Why do you not just book directly with the hotel? That's generally the best way to go. Most properties will match any rate that you can find on a third party site.

Noted. Thank you so much. I'm now looking into it.

Aramis Mar 27th, 2013 09:04 PM

Venereal is entirely reputable. There must be a technical problem. There are toll free numbers from the US 877 214 4288 .

Aramis Mar 27th, 2013 09:05 PM

Oops sorry about that predictive text oversight

bandhan1983 Mar 28th, 2013 02:15 AM

@Aramis Thank you. We live in UK. Is there anyone who can provide toll free numbers from the UK

Cathinjoetown Mar 28th, 2013 02:46 AM

Are you sure there is a . between customer and service in the email address shown in your first post?

Aramis Mar 28th, 2013 03:13 AM

UK: 020 3027 7153a

bandhan1983 Mar 29th, 2013 01:19 PM

Yes, Caithinjoetow. There's a dot between customer and service. I emailed them again yesterday using another email address . I keep getting delivery failure notification.

Aramis: Thank You for your help. I ended up cancelling the reservation with that hotel. Cant take the risk.

Thank you all for being patient and helping me out.
Everything has been settled now. We've booked through booking.com. Emailed them, they replied back which was such a relief.

bandham - glad you have things sorted out, but it sounds like your communication has been with booking.com. You do realize, I trust, that this is still a third party agent just like venere and if you have any concerns or questions about actual accommodation you need to be in contact with the hotel itself and not the third party booking agent.

Seamus- what an awesome suggestion. After ur comment I did contact with the hotel and they replied back. Such a great relief. Thank you so much. Very grateful.
