Hello everyone!

I'm so wired - it's late, raining and cold, and I'm so glad this site (Fodors) exists. It moves me beyond where I am this minute. I appreciate everyone, every question and anyone who responds. I'd be in the looney bin if it wasn't for Fodors - or maybe I'd be in some small town in Umbria - or the Marches. Just want to to say thanks all for your thoughts and inspirations. Good night.

Hi Shanna :)
It is raining and chilly here too, in Florida!
I too appreciate all the lovely Fodorites who contribute here, with humor and experience and usually kindness.
As someone else used to say, Fodors is a Good Thing!

Well (and I don't know why?) I just moved from Florida, now in Wisconsin, and it is too cold to rain, it's 30...I wish it was warm enough to rain!

Still, good friends at Fodors, someone is always willing to shout out.

francophile03 Feb 25th, 2004 08:07 PM

It seems to be raining almost everywhere. Thanks to you also from rainy San Francisco.

SalB Feb 25th, 2004 08:14 PM

Raining in Los Angeles . . . 8^)

Digital_Traveler Feb 25th, 2004 08:21 PM

Oddly, it is not raining in Seattle! What are the odds?

francophile03 Feb 25th, 2004 08:24 PM

Maybe a billion to one chance?

suze Feb 25th, 2004 08:25 PM

Oh yes, it rained a little on me today, here in downtown Seattle. but last weekend was absolutely gorgeous!

babette Feb 26th, 2004 12:42 AM

Well, if this helps any of you feel better, it is also cold and rainy here in the South of France! Brrrrr!

Nomadic1 Feb 26th, 2004 12:47 AM

It's cold and raining here in historic Savannah, as well. Is there any nice weather conditions?

Florence Feb 26th, 2004 12:48 AM

A snipet from: http://www.banzuke.com/04-2/msg00083.html

"How cold has it been ?

Well, you know I'm from Boston, up in New England. We have cold weather there.

Riyo: And how cold is that ?

Well, Riyo, at zero degrees F people in Miami die - or go back to Cuba. New Englanders start wearing long sleeve shirts and close their windows.
At 25 below zero, Hollywood disintegrates, but in New England Girl Scouts sell cookies door to door.
At 40 below Washington DC runs out of hot air, but New Englanders let their dogs sleep inside.
At 275 below zero - absolute zero on the Kelvin scale ? all atomic motion stops. New Englanders start saying, "Cold enough for ya?"
And at 500 below zero, Hell freezes over. In New England, the Red Sox win the World Series."

Angela Feb 26th, 2004 01:04 AM

Well, it's snowing over here in N Ireland!

melmc Feb 26th, 2004 01:32 AM

It was a beautiful 27C in Melbourne, Australia today...but it would want to be considering we're coming to the end of summer.

ira Feb 26th, 2004 05:07 AM

Hi Shanna,

I woke up this morning to 2" of frozen hail.

In Madison, GA.

baldrick Feb 26th, 2004 05:23 AM

Snowing here in Switzerland... since this morning...

TravelerGina Feb 26th, 2004 05:23 AM

Its suppose to get up in the 30s here in mid-Michigan today and near 50 by Sunday. Sure is nice after the long spell of single digit temps.

And Babette, I'd take the cold and rainy day in southern France any time, just to be there rather than here.

Hang in there, Fodorites, spring is on the way!

Robdaddy Feb 26th, 2004 05:31 AM

Florence, thanks a lot! I nearly strangled on my first cup of coffee when I read your post at six this morning! Only a long suffering Red Sox fan can truly appreciate this...thanks for the laugh to start my day.

Randy Feb 26th, 2004 06:40 AM

The sun is doing its work on the two feet of snow we have here in Traverse City, Michigan.

hanl Feb 26th, 2004 06:43 AM

kismetchimera Feb 26th, 2004 06:43 AM
