Hair

This is kind of a weird question but whats the average hair like? if you had like short shaggy haiir kind of would you stand out and look like a tourist. thank you for your help

D

francophile03 May 31st, 2004 04:54 PM

Yes, this is a weird question.

Anonymous May 31st, 2004 04:58 PM

Yes, definitely wins Weird Question of the Day.

thomthumb May 31st, 2004 05:18 PM

I always go with the "mohawk" to blend in.

StCirq May 31st, 2004 05:21 PM

Oh yeah, this is like kind of a really short shaggy weird question.

Clifton May 31st, 2004 05:26 PM

Shaggy? Zoiks!

cmt May 31st, 2004 05:39 PM

Short shaggy hair? It all depends who else is around you. You'll fit right in if you're cairn terrier, but the collies and chihuahas will probably snub you.

gone May 31st, 2004 05:52 PM

CMT, that is so funny. You made me laugh and should get the award for best answer of the day!!

NYCFoodSnob May 31st, 2004 06:00 PM

I prefer "The Brazilian."

cigalechanta May 31st, 2004 06:20 PM

Why try to look like a peekeneese if one is a great dane?

artstuff May 31st, 2004 06:23 PM

Fill your head with hair,
Long beautiful hair.....

I thought this was a post about the musical from the 60's.... Peace

Robyn

BethGL May 31st, 2004 06:44 PM

NYCFS -

Shouldn't a Brazilian be suggested in a "No Hair" post?

annesherrod May 31st, 2004 07:03 PM

Indeed!

tinarose May 31st, 2004 07:35 PM

If your hair is really shaggy you won't look like a tourist but a travel writer.

Scarlett May 31st, 2004 07:39 PM

Just as long as it is not a Shag, you should be ok.

How about a Pooooodle cut?((&))

marcy_ May 31st, 2004 08:04 PM

NYCFS,
I had to Google "Brazilian", to see what kind of hairstyle it was-- :"> (Blush!)

Some styles take a little longer to get to Indiana!

NYCFoodSnob May 31st, 2004 08:28 PM

marcy, I'm laughing so loud my senior neighbors are pounding on my bedroom wall. Little do they know I'm sleeping alone tonight. Lord only knows what they're thinking. Thank you, thank you for such a good laugh. =D>

rialtogrl May 31st, 2004 08:32 PM

Have you seen "The Commitments?"

marcy_ May 31st, 2004 08:38 PM

No, I haven't seen The Commitments-- Is that the one about an Irish band?

I gather it would help with a ... er, well-rounded education?

gone Jun 1st, 2004 12:48 AM

But then, the Shag might be ok if it's orange!! Oh but weren't some of them purple and also green? I guess that's were the term originated..."wearing a rug"!!!

twoflower Jun 1st, 2004 01:00 AM

Hair? I lost mine in an Italian train station, along with my wallet. Now I have to wear a cap on cold days.

SuzieC Jun 1st, 2004 07:06 AM

Brazilian huh? Ouch.

As to hair styles...whatever...

cigalechanta Jun 1st, 2004 07:59 AM

Hair today, gone tomorrow.

llamalady Jun 1st, 2004 10:09 AM

Now, now fellow Foderites, these cutting
remarks aren't helping our little
Kar Mar with a permanent solution.
Obviously, she is dis tressed and in
need of under stranding not hair rassing.

We should be dye-ing to share helpful
tints 'cause we've all been in hair
raising situations and no one should
have to wig out over a do.

That's all 'fro now.

marcy_ Jun 1st, 2004 10:18 AM

LOL, llamalady!

You're right, we need to get things straightened out, because sometimes it can get kinky around here!

Anonymous Jun 1st, 2004 10:22 AM

Let's relax, there's no need for anyone to get dis-tressed.

Scarlett Jun 1st, 2004 11:34 AM

Hair Hair! I second llamaladys remarks!
Hairmonious postings such as these are such a pleasure. Even Pup with his curly hair can sympathise with a shaggy dilemma. His recommendation is to look in the newspapers and magazines and see what the world of Hair looks like, probably much the same as here or hair~

LilyLace Jun 1st, 2004 12:30 PM

Ok I admit I laughed like crazy at the previous posts, but honestly, you all are really nasty at times! I wouldn't be shocked if we never hear from KarMar again!

palette Jun 1st, 2004 12:48 PM

Long or short, no matter, but if you are going to Paris, you must dye it a red that has never been seen in nature. Can't help you with the brand, but just stop any French female, and I am sure she can send you to the right cosmetic counter.

SuzieC Jun 1st, 2004 01:13 PM

or drag a "hunk" out and dye it lavender, violet, turquoise...strangely, this was on ladies of a certain age...
Page-boys and velvet head bands too
(Yikes!)

capo Jun 1st, 2004 02:11 PM

Shaggy hair, like shag carpeting, is so 70s. What's hip now is either a small kilim on top or your head, or else a bald pate with a nice Swedish finish.

LynFrance Jun 1st, 2004 02:13 PM

I'd rather look like a Pekingese than a
"peekeneese".

cigalechanta Jun 1st, 2004 02:29 PM

Oh, pleeeze! Arrest me.
With a little effort you might come across as nice .

Scarlett Jun 1st, 2004 02:54 PM

LOL, cigale, it should be puhleeese :)
Something anal about hunting for misspelled words, don't you think?

capo, is that a bald pate with a Swedish Finnish?
LilyLace,
KarMar was obviously not that interested in the answer to a "weird question" but we are having fun~ Where in the world do you see the "really nasty" part??

cigalechanta Jun 1st, 2004 03:00 PM

:)

capo Jun 1st, 2004 03:13 PM

Oui! A Swedish Finnish is, of course, what I meant. :)

Also need to clarify that I meant pate, and not pâté. Nothing worse than a hirsute pâté.

Scarlett Jun 1st, 2004 04:06 PM

giggling, capo :D

the idea of a hairy pate though...:(

amwosu Jun 1st, 2004 04:13 PM

Uhhhh Marcy...the Brazilian is known in some parts of Indiana. Had one today as a matter of fact as I shove off for Kauai on Friday. Damn! It hurts!

I was planning to go for a bike ride tonight but am settling for a cool bath and a glass, make that bottle, of wine. I know, too much information but I've already drank (drunk?) half the bottle.

cigalechanta Jun 1st, 2004 04:18 PM

LOL Scarlett, no, it's my Pleeeze. I can spell any non correct word I want, to annoy the police here.
Keep letting a smile be your umbrella, it makes for a long happier life.

LilyLace Jun 1st, 2004 04:19 PM

Whatever was I thinking Scarlett darling? Nasty never! Really! You are right about the fun, it's been a hoot reading responses to the "weird question".

I am happy I've had dinner though! Capo: All I can say is YUCK!
LOL
