Denise - we had a wonderful meal in Orvieto at Giglio d'Oro, which is right on the Duomo Square. Would have not picked it on our own as we tend to be suspicious of places right there in the tourist spotlight...but our hotel concierge recommended it, as did someone in a nearby shop. We were very glad they did. The suggested menu of the day sounded good, so that was what we ordered and it was simply terrific. We, too, had a poor lunch experience at another place in Orvieto -- could well have been where Monica ate!
