Bewleys is a good rate and I think there is a bus stop outside to take you to the xentre. Its a buitiful old building and I think it shoud be fine. stauntons, I have nor seen the rooms but if the rate is 80-90 take it as you are smack in town.

Has another Bewleys opened Siobhan? The only one I know of is the Ballsbridge one which is a good half hour walk from the city centre. It is a good hotel by all accounts - I have had friends that stayed there and they gave good reports. It's very close to the DART station which will get you into the city centre in about 10 minutes, or there are plenty of buses that you can catch from just outside the hotel. A taxi to the city centre would be less than €10

I'm thinking of staying at either The Townhouse on Lower Gardner St or in Trinity College student housing for a trip in August. Has anyone had experience staying at either? Thanks!

Does anyone have experience with Kellys Hotel, the Paramount, or the Georg Frederic Handel? We need to be within walking distance of Temple Bar for less than 130 Euros per night if possible (for 2 people).

Jurys Christchurch had been recommended to me but it's booked for the three nights we need (September 8-11)

ebd - I don't have "experience" per se regarding the Trinity accommodation, but I went to university there and several of my friends lived in university rooms while we were there. There are a few different types of rooms - there are some towards the front of the colleage (front square, new square and botany bay) that are in older buildings. When I was in college there the rooms were not bad, but I believe most of them have been redecorated recently & should be quite nice. There are newer buildings towards the back of the college near the rugby pitch and the Samuel Beckett theatre. Then the newest building (Goldsmith Hall) is actually behind the campus just beside Pearse Street DART station. These were built after I left, so I haven't seen inside. Personally, I would prefer to be inside the campus - it's quieter for a start, and more atmospheric. I would definitely choose it over Gardiner Street. The accommodation is Much nicer at trinity than you would expect for universirt accomodation. Some have apartment style rooms as well. Its excellent value for the city centre. I would stay there.

corbow - Kelleys hotel I have NEVER heard anyone stay in and it can be a noisy street with traffic. Check tripadvisor for reviews on it.

Handels is a good location at the quiet end of temple bar

Parliament(I think this is what you mean) is good and central but ask for a room at the back as it could get noisy at the front.
