I love the Christmas markets which run from about late November to Christmas Eve. It is the Christmas "I grew up with" in the US. [German ancestry]. It is a great time to see Germany and German without so much tourist spin. Especially great in the smaller towns. Every time I go I come home wanting a bigger Christmas tree! the downside is that you have to pack bulky clothes!
