Gemutlichkeit Newsletter

Wondering if any fodorites subscribe to Gemutlihkeit's Newsletter at $59/yr (www.gemut.com). If so would you please offer an unbiased review.

I subscribed several years ago. I found the info not to my likeing. hotels etc. I always use them for car rental.

I also subscribed several years ago. I didn't think it was that good. When I didn't renew they sent me a rude letter which wound up in the shredder.

I enjoy the newsletter...it is rather plain (no photos) but provides nice overviews of sights in a particular area, with suggested hotels and restaurants. These fall into the 'moderate' price range, imo (100-200€/dbls). I will renew when the time comes.

Did you read the sample newsletter offered on the website? It is pretty much representative of typical issues.

The actual newsletter is on beige paper, and runs about 8 pages + an insert with some 'advertising', ie railpasses, travel gear, etc.

When you subscribe, you can get a year's worth of back issues included.
