Flights USA to Europe

Just curious but have others noticed how much higher airfare is this year compared to last year and particularly two years ago? Prices seemed to have doubled in the last two years.

The price of oil has skyrocketed recently, thus the price of flights has done the same. A discussion of why that has happened isn't allowed in this forum, but I kindly suggest you turn on the news.

I'm sure you know that the cost of ALL sorts of fuel - Gasoline/petrol/heating oil etc has risen. Av Gas is no different. Adding to that is the fact that the demand for flights is much higher - has risen a LOT in the last 3-4 years. I'm actually surprised fares aren'r even higher.

But fuel prices are pretty volatile because the shipping routes/Mid-East situation changes day by day.

(We can discuss why fares/fuel are higher - just can't start political discussions/arguments )

Yep. Noticed it long before the current insanity. Will probably only get worse.
