First train to Crimea after 5 years
Shortly after the opening of the longest railway bridge of Europe connecting Crimea with mainland Russia, the first trains to Crimea after 5 years of absence are on their way from Moscow and St Petersburg to Sevastopol.

And this is a good thing?
Putin riding roughshod over another country's sovereignty. Not even subtly, as he usually does with election fixing. |
It was a bit disappointing to see Putin in suit and tie in the train's cockpit.
I was expecting the great leader to pull the train across the bridge all by himself, bare-chested, of course. |
On a horse.

More trains is what Greta wants, so it is a good thing.

I guess the trains could have got there on the old line if monster Putin hadn't, ( insert murder of your choice).
Fly Malaysian Airlines.... |
Finally!
That's a big deal and it's great to have railway connection as an option. The problem is, with the trip from Moscow to Simferopol currently at about 40 hours, most people will still stick to flying. Can't be beat for kids going to summer camps, though. PS. Merry Christmas, everyone! |
Ah Trolls come out for Christmas.....
