Mel

From www.epicurious.com. Try it with Earl Grey.

JASMINE TEA SORBET

Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less but requires additional unattended time.

3 cups water
2 1/2 tablespoons fine-quality jasmine tea leaves
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar

In a small saucepan bring water to a boil. Add tea leaves and remove pan from heat. Cover pan and steep tea 5 minutes. Add
sugar, stirring until dissolved, and strain tea through a fine sieve into a bowl. Chill tea, covered, until cold and freeze in an
ice-cream maker. Sorbet may be made 1 week ahead.

Makes about 3 cups.

Gourmet
June 1995

JOdy, I have the Lady Grey with citrus. We have a lady here in Palm Desert, (Jane Gray's Teas & Things) that thought that would be a good substitute. She tried to order Maxim's for me and was unsuccessful.

The Lady Gray was good, but didn't satisfy my craving for Maxim's. I haven't had a response to my e-mail yet. Still hoping.

Thanks for the suggeston!! Sue
