Adu, you should not have given the secret of the "old man on the plane".
Turkish Airlines has this same old man fly free anywhere he likes (only local flights)so that he can entertain some passengers and as a PR or marketing gimmick. If not_enuf_vaca is lucky and decides to emulate Cleopatra at Pamukkale, it is quite possible that the very same old man may be swimming in the very same pool, while asking people to show him how to peel a banana. |

Thanks Not-Enuf.

While flying from Izmir to Kayseri is possible 6 days a week in season by Sun Express (no schedule of flights yet as said above ) Pegaus also flies the same route.
If driving is in the plan (a drop off charge is concerened at the end and try to hire a diesel car as we use the most expensive fuel of the entire planet) Visiting sites at Ephesus properly requires a day. Than driving Pamukkale would complement a visit to Aphrodisias (a must if you ask me)Overnight and drive to Egirdir or Konya is an option. And next day drive to Cappadocia. Straight driving from Pamukkale can be tiresome. Try to allocate at least 3 days to Cappadocia. Happy Travelling, Murat |
Thank you!
I am hopeful that Sun Express will have a flight. I am also hopeful it will be early so I can enjoy another day in Cappadocia. We shall see.... |
Hello Murat !
Happy New Year, and nice to see you here on the board after a long time ! I hope that you and P and your family are well. I still look at photos of the time we met in Goreme and remember them fondly. Best regards, Murat. M PS Not_enuf, Murat arranged my car rental and air connections from Izmir to Kayseri as well as hotel booking in Sirince and he is fantastic and a great guy. |
