Buy one of those ceramic or pottery cigale (cicada) to hang in your kitchen for a daily reminder of Provence. Great choices at L'Isle Sur la Sorgue market. Let me know if that antique coffee grinder that I fondled for 20 min before placing it down on the table with a "I really don't need this" is still there.

Hadn't checked on this thread in a little while - thanks everyone for weighing in! Perhaps because we are staying at B and Bs for this part of the trip and are not tied to one place for a week we can avoid St. Remy by doing the Uzes/St. Saturnin split. Of course we can just leave Aix for a day trip, I just have a sentimental reason to see it as my mom always talks about a summer she spent there a long time ago. I also thought it would be nice to take a day trip to Cassis and take a boat ride. I know St. Saturnin/Aix would not allow us to really see all of Provence, but maybe we can't see all the areas in a week anyway. But I suppose we should try to spread out more geographically as everyone is suggesting.

Oh and we do want to spend a day wine tasting in Gigondas, Chateneuf de Pape, etc (either by ourselves or with a guide)....I guess that's another reason to stay somewhere closer to that area. We don't mind driving a bit that day though...but that may affect which option makes the most sense.
