I usually go with people but if they aren't intersted in doing what I'm doing then I just go off by myself. I'm not sure if I would like being completely alone on a trip. I like coming back to the hotel and talking about my day.

Yes I travel alone. I'm going to London this week for a short trip. I am 53 and have been travelling solo since I was 21. Back then my friends didn't want to leave their "boyfriends"...now it's their husbands, children or jobs. My husband encourages these trips - he finds short trips painful and can rarely find time from his busy schedule for extended trips. So I go - alone. More than 60,000 miles this year. I explore, I learn, I meet new people, I am always on guard and looking for a safe and comfortable environment. I always enjoy these trips but I must admit my best trips are when my husband travels with me. We are able to explore areas that would otherwise be unwise for a single female traveller. Good Luck!
