celticdreams, stopped at Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge on the way home from visiting friends in Pittsfield. With gas so epensive have to plan our trips to accomplish more than one thing. Anyway, they do carry Smithwicks, $26.99 per case. BTW it is brewed by Guinness. They also carry Magners Cider ($31.99) and Bulmers Strongbow Cider ($39.99).

As I said, Toys-R-Us for adults. Anyone travelling the Mass Pike or US 84 can get off at the Sturbridge exit and go west on US 20 less than a mile.

Exactly Bill. Wooster is the correct pronunciation for Worcester. However, you wouldn't try to say it in the local Midlands accent (which would be more like Wuster).

Ooops, just notice you meant Worcester, Massachusetts, whereas I was thinking Worcester, England. However, the answer's still the same.

The first syllable of Worcester, Mass. is pronounced "wuss" as in sourpuss. The second is "tur" to rhyme with fur. At least that's the way a transplanted Rhode Islander says it.
